A QR code is not magic. It is a pass that expires, cannot be photocopied usefully, and tells the guard which flat authorised the entry. That is already more than a carbon slip.
Expected guests should never wait on a phone call
Resident creates the pass, forwards QR, guard scans. If your “QR app” still requires the guard to type a novel, you bought a form.
Walk-ins still need a second flow
Unexpected arrivals reverse the order: photo, notify, approve. Societies that force QR-only for every delivery create muting and workarounds.
Same subscription as dues
DGate’s gate pass is not a separate SKU from maintenance accounting. One plan. /pricing.
