1. Agreement
By using the DGate mobile application, society admin features, guard tools, resident features, or dgate.in, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What DGate provides
DGate is a software platform for gated societies, including:
- Digital visitor entry, gate passes (QR), walk-in registration, and check-in/out.
- Resident approvals and notifications.
- Guard desk and QR scanning tools.
- Society notices, complaints, SOS, marketplace, rentals, pets, vehicles, directory, and related community features.
- Society admin tools: users, flats, settings, visitor logs, blacklist, and subscription billing.
- Website for information, downloads, contact, and society subscription checkout.
3. Accounts and roles
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure (OTP via mobile).
- Society admins control who gets access in their society (residents, guards, family, tenants).
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or remove access for fraud, abuse, or legal reasons.
4. Society admin responsibilities
- Society management committees are responsible for how they use DGate in their society.
- Admins should only add users and share visitor data as allowed by society rules and applicable law.
- Subscription fees (if applicable) are agreed between the society and DGate via the billing flow.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use DGate for illegal activity or to harass others.
- Upload false visitor entries, fake listings, or misleading content.
- Try to break security, scrape data, or access other societies' data.
- Misuse SOS for non-emergency pranks (SOS is for real help requests).
6. User content
Marketplace listings, complaints, notices, and similar content you post remain your responsibility. We may remove content that violates these terms or harms others.
7. Payments
Society subscription payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Prices and plans are shown in the app or website before payment.
Refunds and billing disputes for society subscriptions are handled according to the plan shown at purchase and support policy communicated to the society admin.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use data. By using DGate you also accept that policy.
9. Emergency & SOS disclaimer
DGate SOS and security features help your society coordinate. They do not replace police, ambulance, or fire services. In an emergency, call official emergency numbers in your area.
10. Service availability
We work to keep DGate available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network issues, or third-party outages may cause temporary downtime.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DGate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, unauthorized entry at a physical gate, or actions of society members, guards, or third parties.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount the society paid us for DGate in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is lower, unless law requires otherwise.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
