DGate ("DGate") provides this page so residents, guards, vendors, and other users can learn how to delete their account and request removal of personal data collected through the DGate mobile app.
This page is publicly available at https://dgate.in/myaccount and does not require login.
Who can delete an account
- Residents, family members, and tenants linked to a flat in a society using DGate.
- Society guards, vendors, and other roles with their own DGate login.
- Society admins may also remove users from their society; admins who wish to delete their own personal account can follow the same steps below.
How to delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the DGate mobile app:
- Open the DGate app on your phone and sign in with your registered mobile number.
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation) and tap Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message, then tap Delete My Account to confirm.
- Your account will be scheduled for deletion. You will be signed out immediately.
Delete by email (alternative)
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your account (or from your registered mobile number in the message body):

Subject line: Account deletion request
Include: your full name, registered mobile number, society name, and flat number (if applicable).
We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days.
What data is deleted
- Your login account (mobile number / OTP identity) and profile details (name, email if provided, photo).
- Your role and flat linkage within the society, including family/tenant access you held.
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers tied to your account.
- Personal listings you created (marketplace, rentals, pets, vehicles) under your account.
- Your personal preferences and in-app settings.
What data may be retained
Some information may be kept after account deletion when required by law, billing, security, or society operations:
- Visitor logs and gate entry records where you appear as the host, visitor, or approving resident — retained for society security and audit purposes as configured by the society.
- Complaint, SOS, notice interaction, or billing records where retention is required by the society admin or applicable law.
- Anonymized or aggregated usage data that cannot identify you.
- Records we must keep for tax, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Processing time
In-app deletion: your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days.
Email requests: we respond within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your identity.
Backups may take up to an additional 30 days to fully purge.
Society admin accounts
If you are the primary society admin responsible for DGate billing, please transfer admin access to another committee member before deleting your personal account, or contact us so we can help reassign billing contact details.
